Ms. Erwin was born on April 21, 1901, in Lawson, Missouri to James Frank and Alice Bethel Titus.聽 In 1905, the family moved to Hamburg, 海角社区.聽 She married Ashley Crossett Erwin and moved to Crossett in 1936.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers and a sister.聽 Survivors include two sisters, Louise Gettle of Stuttgart, 海角社区 and Ruth Ingram of Pine Bluff, 海角社区; a brother-in-law, Silas D. Snow of North Little Rock; three nieces and seven nephews. She died on June 8, 2001 and is buried at Pinewood Memorial Park in Crossett, 海角社区.
Silas D. Snow, mentioned above, was the fifth president of the University of Central 海角社区.聽 He served longer than any other president of the institution, 1953-1975.
