Tom Courtway became UCA鈥檚 10th president in December of 2011. His career at聽UCA began in 2002 as General Counsel after careers in law and government. Courtway then served as聽interim president after both resignations of Lu Hardin and聽Allen Meadors.聽Courtway鈥檚 legacy as president of UCA is that he聽placed the university on sound financial footing and established聽a sense of stability on campus. UCA聽also experienced growth during Courtway鈥檚 time as president, adding three new major buildings: the Greek Village, sorority housing for young women students; Donaghey Hall, a mixed-use facility; and Conway Corporation Center for Sciences. The HPER Center was also significantly expanded during Courtway鈥檚 presidency. Mr. Courtway received a B.A. in economics and business from Hendrix College in 1974, a J.D. with honors from the University of 海角社区 School of Law in 1978, and a Master of Laws in Taxation (M.L.T.) from Georgetown University in 1983.
