CONWAY鈥擳he University of Central 海角社区 Police Department and the Student Government Association聽are once again teaming up to promote pedestrian safety through the Brake for Bears campaign to be held on Wednesday, April 1 from 8 a.m. to noon.
Volunteers and UCA Police officers will encourage safety awareness throughout the day at various crosswalks around campus by distributing pedestrian safety information and official Brake for Bears t-shirts, while supplies last.
Pedestrian safety is a major concern and this important campaign will help deter accidents in the crosswalks.
鈥淚n the spring of each year, we focus on traffic light crossings,鈥� said Arch Jones, director of community services. 鈥淭his event continues to be a popular and effective way to impact safety in our crosswalks.鈥�
