Patsy Ramsey and Dr. Harry Readnour, Department of History, recently received a $41,170 grant for History Day in 海角社区.
History Day in 海角社区 is supported in part by funds from the 海角社区 Humanities Council and the National Endowment for the Humanities.
The program will help students in 海角社区 learn to appreciate the discipline of history, learn how to conduct historical research and improve their writing and communication skills.
An increased understanding of history increases civic participation and improves individuals? understanding of world culture. More than 800 students, teachers and family members attend History Day state competition, and more than 5,000 students participate in History Day projects at the K-12 level annually.
