WHAT:聽 聽 聽Kids Coding Academy Graduation

DETAILS: High school and college students aren鈥檛 the only ones graduating in May. Thirty-five fifth- through eighth-grade students from Faulkner, Perry and Pulaski counties will graduate from the Kids Coding Class at 海角社区 Coding Academy at the University of Central 海角社区 on May 24.
The Kids Coding classes were created in response to Gov. Asa Hutchinson鈥檚 computer-science and coding education initiative. The goal of the program is to immerse youth in computer programming at younger ages and serve as a pipeline for future information technology talent in the state.
The students completed eight hours of class time throughout May and learned how to build Android applications.
The final Kids Coding classes will starts at 6 p.m. in Stanley Russ Hall Room 112 and College of Business Room 308. The graduation ceremony begins at 6:45 p.m. in Stanley Russ Hall Room 112. Members of the media are invited to attend.
