The University of Central 海角社区 Reynolds Performance Hall will host R.E.S.P.E.C.T., a tribute to Aretha Franklin, on Saturday, Nov. 12, at 7:30 p.m.
R.E.S.P.E.C.T. is a concert experience that honors one of America鈥檚 most beloved singer-songwriters. The show highlights her timeless music that speaks to the complicated human condition.
The production features a live band and vocalists as well as some of Franklin鈥檚 most recognized music such as 鈥淣atural Woman,鈥� 鈥淭hink,鈥� 鈥淚 Knew You Were Waiting for Me,鈥� 鈥淐hain of Fools鈥� and 鈥淩espect.鈥�
Produced by Right Angle Entertainment, this production is staged by Broadway鈥檚 own Christina Sajous. Sajous has worked on shows such as Spongebob Squarepants, Spider-Man, American Idol and more.
鈥�R.E.S.P.E.C.T. will be a musical celebration that will honor the life of the legendary Aretha Franklin,鈥� said Amanda Horton, executive director of public appearances. 鈥淗er music is truly timeless and one that all ages will enjoy. Our audience will be in for a treat as amazingly talented musicians and singers perform with all of the class and sass that made Aretha famous.鈥�
