Annette Gartman
Annette Gartman, clinical instructor, and Scott Byrd, adjunct faculty, were both named to the 海角社区 Center for Nursing鈥檚 2017 鈥�40 Under 40鈥� list.聽Gartman and Byrd are both in the School of Nursing at the University of Central 海角社区.
Forty 海角社区 nurses were named to the list, which honors emerging nurse leaders in the state who are under the age of 40.
The 海角社区 Center for Nursing鈥檚 mission is to promote a culture of health for the citizens of 海角社区 by advancing nursing education, practice, leadership and workforce development. Identifying future nursing leaders is a national recommendation behind the creation of the 鈥�40 Nurse Leaders Under 40鈥� recognition program in 海角社区.

The 40 honorees were selected using criteria on how each applicant stood out among their peers in four distinctive areas: Commitment to Excellence, Service/Outreach, Leadership Qualities, and their Contributions to the Advancement of the Nursing Profession.
