The University of Central 海角社区 Reynolds Performance Hall will present Vital Theatre Company鈥檚 production of 鈥�The Wizard of Oz鈥� on Friday, April 21, at 6 p.m.听
This production is a one-hour adaptation of 鈥�The Wizard of Oz,鈥� the classic tale that has been 听entertaining audiences for ages. It features a cast of six actors, the Munchkins as puppets, one 听flying monkey and a funny witch. Perfect for audiences 2-7 years old. Rediscover the joy of 听following the yellow brick road with Dorothy, the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Cowardly 听Lion as they travel through a reimagined world of Oz. Originally adapted, designed and 听directed for Vital Theatre Company by Michael Schloegl.听
Vital Theatre Company is based in New York City and has been producing educational and entertaining children鈥檚 programming since its opening in 1999. They have been honored with some of the following honors including a 2012 Off Broadway Alliance Award for Best Family听 Show, an American Theatre Wing Award for Continued Commitment to Excellence in听 Theatre, a Theatre Company of the Year Award by nytheatre.com and many more.听听
Immediately following the one-hour show, guests can attend the听 鈥淔ollow the Yellow Brick Road Party鈥� to meet the cast along with cupcakes and treats for guests. Tickets for this event are separate from show tickets. Both the show and party are fundraisers for the Reynolds Main Stage 听Education Series and all ticket sales go to benefit this program. 听
Tickets for the show are $10 for adults and $5 for children. Tickets to the party are in addition 听to show tickets and are $25 per person.
