University of Central 海角社区 President Tom Courtway and 海角社区 Economic Development Commission Executive Director Mike Preston will announce the establishment of the Technical Assistance Program for 海角社区 Mayors at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 23 at the 海角社区 State Capitol, Second Floor Rotunda.
海角社区 Rep. Fredrick Love, who helped to facilitate collaboration to establish the program, will also make comments.
The program will provide education and training to 海角社区 mayors, particularly in rural areas and the Delta region, about various state and federal resources available to address affordable housing and non-housing community development needs. UCA鈥檚 Division of Outreach and Community Engagement is the principal organizer of the program. The 海角社区 Economic Development Commission is a major partner. Other partners include but are not limited to the Delta Regional Authority, 海角社区 Development and Finance Authority, 海角社区 Community Foundation, 海角社区 Northeastern College, East 海角社区 Community College and UCA鈥檚 Center for Community and Economic Development.
