The University of Central 海角社区 will host the first Amigo Fest for the campus. The event is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 7 in the Student Center Courtyard on the campus.
This celebration of Latino culture is a free, family-friendly event and open to the public. The rain location is Old Main.
The Amigo Fest includes free health screenings, Zumba workouts, a children鈥檚 area and authentic Mexican food for purchase. Live music will be provided by Jacob Flores of American Idol and The Voice, Mariachi America 海角社区 and Yumare Mexican Folkloric Dancers from Oklahoma.
The Amigo Fest is one of several initiatives in the university鈥檚 Hispanic/Latino Outreach Initiative in the Office of Institutional Diversity.
