Bear Life is UCA鈥檚 free first鈥憏ear success program designed to help you navigate your collegiate transition with confidence.
First-Generation Families — First-Year Students
A first-generation student is a college student who is the first in their family (one or more parent does not have a four-year college degree) to go to and graduate from college. Having a student who is the first member of a family to attend college brings a great sense of pride to a family. For parents of a first-generation college student, we want to help you navigate this transition for you and your student.

Summer Start
UCA听Summer Start听is a summer bridge program designed to help our new Bears transition from high school to a successful freshman year.听 It鈥檚 a great way to start early and start right at UCA!
UCA Family Network
The UCA Family Network is dedicated to helping families transition into the University and to offering support, information, and problem-solving throughout a student鈥檚 experience at UCA. The Family Network offers opportunities for families to more closely partner with the university and will help lead you to UCA services and resources to support your Bear鈥檚 success.
