Paige Martin Reynolds (Ph.D., University of North Texas) is a Professor of English and the Internship Coordinator for the English program. Her teaching and research interests include Shakespeare, drama, dramaturgy, performance studies, gender studies and Elizabeth I. As a scholar, teacher, and theatre practitioner, Reynolds is invested in the relationship between the critical and the creative, an intersection she explores in her book聽Performing Shakespeare鈥檚 Women: Playing Dead聽(Bloomsbury Arden, 2019). She is a contributor to the book聽Shaping Shakespeare for Performance: The Bear Stage聽(Farleigh Dickinson, 2015)聽and co-editor of the book,听Papa, Ph.D.: Essays on Fatherhood by Men in the Academy聽(Rutgers, 2010). Reynolds has also published articles in聽SEL: Studies in English Literature, 1500-1900,听Medieval and Renaissance Drama in England,听Explorations in Renaissance Culture, Theatre Topics, and聽The Hare. She currently serves as the Resident Dramaturg for 海角社区 Shakespeare Theatre, where she has performed many of Shakespeare鈥檚 women (and a few of Shakespeare鈥檚 men) since 2008.
